Learning languages in an informal manner is fun. The first words or phrases that come from a person's mind are those that are commonly spoken in his native language. The sources of a language that a person wants to learn are friends, acquaintances, online websites and books.
Everybody wants to know the translation of the phrase, “I love you” in a language that interests him or her. Most languages have only one translation and pronunciation for “I love you”, that is, whether the person is male or female who is saying” I love you”, only one pronunciation is used.
But saying I love you in Arabic is different. The sound of the last word of the phrase that is used by an Arab male saying I love you in Arabic is different from the sound of the last word of the phrase that is used by an Arab female. I love you in Arabic is “ana he bek”. If a male tells it to a woman, it sounds, “ana he bik”. If a female says I love you to a male, it sounds, “ana he bek” which is pronounced as written. Like other languages, Arabic, a language spoken in 22 countries belonging to the Arab League, is an interesting language. Many people appreciate the Arabic language as much as they appreciate the French and Italian languages. Some websites provide an audio to teach viewers the correct way of saying I love you in Arabic. The phrase is spoken in a very direct manner, meaning, the person to whom the words are directed immediately discern what the other person is saying and what it means.
In the past, Arabs were not given the chance to express their feelings for each other before the wedding. Literally, there were no courtships between male and female Arabs because their wedding is pre-arranged. The parents of the groom and bride are the ones that select their partners. Letting a partner know what fees was passe thus, saying I love you was not prevalent among young Arabs because of the absence of courtship. The modern era has changed courtships in all parts of the world. Some Arab cultures already permit their people to marry non-Arabs. Courtship has become customary. A Westerner starts to learn saying I love you in Arabic to impress the Arab woman he loves. One need not be a linguist to express what he feels. The most important thing is that, a person knows how to express what he feels and truly understands what he says. |
